Gen-Ji-Mai Brown Rice & Heirloom Tomato Salad Wrap
A beautiful and light salad wrap recipe, but made more healthy by including Gen-Ji-Mai brown rice.
Ingredients
1 cup per person - Gen-Ji-Mai (lightly milled) cooked according to the package. (Using the rice warm is best) you can also use left over rice, heat a little prior to use.Seasoning for rice – combine and heat to simmer, cool slightly and mix to taste with rice.Rice vinegarSea SaltSugarAssorted Heirloom Tomatoes – Ripe & Fragrant, washed and sliced for wrapping. * a twist would be the fry or grill the tomatoes for more flavor.Assorted large leaf and pliable lettuce for wrapping – 5-6 leaves per person. Washed, dried and picked.Various mixed fragrant herbs – mint, basil, Thai basil, cilantro – a few stalk per person. Washed and dried.Chili Sauce, Salsa, Soy Sauce, Citrus wedges, Balsamic Vinegar, Chinese mustard, Sweet Thai Chili sauce, pickled peppers, etc… Have fun and set up a bunch of “condiments to add fun" to the wrap.
Plate up on various different dishes all of the recipe components and arrange on a table. Build the wraps your way. You can also build up each “cup" as little apps with some rice, tomatoes and herbs and let your guest dress
